Winnipeg Buildings & Towers
The Manitoba Legislative Building is home to the Golden Boy, an important provincial symbol. The gilded figure sits atop the building facing north, representing eternal youth and the resources of northern Manitoba. Several other figures make up the building's exterior, each signifying Manitoba's characteristics. The interior holds an opulent staircase, rotunda and several historic artifacts representing the provincial significance of this architectural gem.
This neo-classical building was formed with a rare limestone - Manitoba Tyndall. Tours of this spectacular structure can be booked at the Tourism Information Office, Room 101, or phone (204) 945-5813.
