The Swords and Sabers Festival is a free Renaissance like festival and will be geared for all ages to attend from young kids to adults which it makes it the perfect place and event for families and friends looking for a fun way to spend a summer day. During the event we will have many various interactive activities, entertainment and Demonstrations.
This event will be dedicated mostly to Pirates, Medieval, Vikings, and Steam Punk as well as other things that follow in that type of sub culture genre. During the Event we plan on having local businesses as well as artists there to sell their products and art to the people who attend.
There will also be related entertainment like live music, informational demonstrations, and fun interactive activities provided by local clubs, bands, as well as other performers and talent.
The event will be held at Coronation park on the corner of St Mary's and Tache.

Beginning as a one-off event in 1974, the Winnipeg Folk Festival now welcomes approximately 250 talented musicians in genres including blues, Celtic, world and bluegrass music. In addition to numerous stages of great music, the festival offers a craft market, food village, and a family area with kids' activities and entertainment. On-site camping is available.
