This highly-anticipated annual outdoor music festival happens in July and attracts more than 60,000 festival-goers to Birds Hill Provincial Park. Beginning as a one-off event in 1974, the Winnipeg Folk Festival now welcomes approximately 250 talented musicians in genres including blues, Celtic, world and bluegrass music. In addition to numerous stages of great music, the festival offers a craft market, food village, and a family area with kids' activities and entertainment. On-site camping is available.
