The Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope is an event where people gather to celebrate the lives touched by ovarian cancer and remember those that have succumbed to this under diagnosed disease. The Walk is also an important opportunity to increase awareness of ovarian cancer while raising crucial funds to increase survival rates for all women.

There is a Walk route choice between 1.5km and 5km and there will also be FREE entertainment and refreshments after the Walk, including a Doggy Den and Kids Play Corner. Walking (or running) starts at 10am, with registration and morning coffee beginning at 8:30am.

Experience this free, interactive, awareness-raising event organized by Médecins Sans Frontières/ Doctors Without Borders (MSF).

The Refugee Camp in the Heart of the City exhibit is an outdoor reconstruction of an actual refugee camp, where experienced MSF staff (doctors, nurses, logisticians) guide visitors through a 40 to 60 minute interactive tour, explaining crucial elements for survival in a refugee or internally displaced people (IDP) crisis. Each visitor learns some of the challenges a refugee or IDP faces in trying to access food, shelter, water and medical care.

MSF is the world's leading independent medical humanitarian organization, delivering emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, disasters, and exclusion from healthcare in close to 60 countries worldwide.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes will host their annual open house from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at beautiful Canwest Park. The ballpark will be open to the public that day, as fans are welcome to come down and watch all the new and returning Goldeyes go through a day of training camp. Admission is free.

Ballpark tours will be conducted, new merchandise will be on sale, there will be live entertainment, plenty of hourly prize draws, Goldie will be there and free hot dogs and Pepsi will be provided to the first 1,500 fans in attendance.
